November is National Novel Writing Month! And I’m in the third week of attempting to write 50,000 words by November 30th!
So why am I even writing here in this blog right now? I’m only up to 20,015 and I am way behind the daily quota to achieve such an awesome goal! What an experience though! This deadline has indeed jumpstarted my writing, which had clearly been on an open-ended sabbatical for the past two years.
Who knows what I’m writing or how good it is? That doesn’t seem to be the point of NaNoWriMo, which has more in common with Nike than with Nietzche. JUST DO IT! And so I am.
Enough procrastination for today. I’ll return after Thanksgiving. By then my back may have given out but I’ll be very grateful for having put words on paper again.
